New Wave Rainbow Pride
Who our group is:
New Wave Rainbow Pride is a Self Advocacy group based in Gippsland that is run by and for people that are:
- A part of the Rainbow Community
- Have an Intellectual Disability and/or Acquired Brain Injury
- Who live, work or are connected to Gippsland.
What does our group care about?
New Wave Rainbow Pride come together to fight for our rights, be in a community, support and connect with each other.
We believe in equal rights for everybody and are passionate about fighting for the rights for people with Disabilities who are a part of the Rainbow Community.
Things our group has worked on:
- Attending and supporting local Rainbow events.
- Support each other to stand up for our rights and build our Self Advocacy skills.
- Give each other Peer Support and information.
- Connect with other Self Advocacy Groups and Rainbow Community Groups
Who can be member of our group?
You can be a member of New Wave Rainbow Pride if you:
- Have an intellectual disability or Acquired Brain Injury
- Identify as being a part of the Rainbow /LGBTIQA+ Community
- Who live, work or are connected to Gippsland.
